Brad Irwin - Chief Executive Officer / Publisher

Brad is a pilot with a background as an aviation attorney.  He has assisted pilots with FAA enforcement actions and other claims helping them to resolve various legal and medical issues and continue flying.  He has been with PilotMag from the inception, working to develop what we hope will be the finest, most interesting, aviation publication available.

Scott Birdsall – VP of Operations and Business Development

Scott BirdsallScott is an eighteen year aviation veteran and Air Transport Rated pilot with a Canadair Regional Jet type rating. He has over 7000 hours of flight time and is an active Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot.

In his early days, Scott was an F-16 Crew Chief with the United States Air force. Since then he has been a Part 121 Aircraft Dispatcher, a Certified Flight Instructor, an Air Charter Captain, and an Airline Captain with a regional airline. Since leaving the airlines, Scott has been spreading his entrepreneurial wings by starting and assisting in the growth of young aviation oriented companies. His attention to product development and strategic branding enables his companies to stand out from the crowd and achieve their desired success goals.

Scott is an experienced skier and enjoys the back bowls and bumps. He can often be recognized by his sidekick Icarus, a very happy yellow Labrador Retriever who is almost always in tow.

Jeff Berlin – Editor

Jeff Berlin

Jeff comes to PilotMag with a depth of print industry experience. A pilot since 1994, Jeff is multiengine and instrument rated, has flown a multitude of aircraft ranging from ultralights and LSA’s to cabin-class turboprops and jets. He enjoys keeping an eye on how technology impacts the flying experience and has a particular affinity for aviation history. He feels that today’s pilots shouldn’t forget those that came before them.

Capt. Ron McElroy – Associate Editor

Ron Ron McElroy is an experimental test pilot, trained at the Edwards AFB, CA Test Pilot School. He has flown more than 10,000 hours in over 100 types of aircraft during a 34 year career as a USAF pilot, civilian instructor pilot, airline pilot and test pilot consultant. Dan Eggers – Creative Director

With over 24 years in the creative design field. Over the years Dan has been a key component in the successful development of several new businesses. He has worked directly with companies such as Apple, EDMC & The Art Institutes, CB RichardEllis, Spicy Pickle Restaurants, EchoStar Europe and Hallmark Cards. Dan also spent several years early in his career as a civilian artist for the U.S. Air Force (AWACS). He has been responsible for developing creative materials, multimedia, video and exhibit show creative for a host of companies and events in the region. Despite the absence of a pilot’s license, Dan brings a fresh, creative approach to all of our mediums and represents the non-aviator reader and participant. Due to the company’s mission of attracting newer pilots, Dan provides years of experience in creating social networking sites and a plethora of products that draw users in and gets them to interact.

Jeff Matoon - Video Production

Jeff MatoonJeff Mattoon, a native of Southern California, has been a media professional for over 20 years, specializing in television and video production. Also an award winning writer, Jeff has penned for nearly every medium, focusing on aviation since 2004. PilotMag welcomes Jeff as he and a few buddies catch a fast ride on the Mooney Acclaim Type S to the Brickyard 500. Additionally, Jeff has scripted a comprehensive editorial on the state of the VLJ in our July/August issue. We look forward to more compelling stories to come.

Reggie Paulk - Video Production

Reggie PaulkReggie earned his certificate in gliders when he was 16 years old. He went on to powered aircraft when he was 17 and earned his instrument, commercial and certified flight instructor certificates over the next year. He's flown everything from Piper Aztecs to DeHavilland Beavers on floats and enjoyed every minute of it. Reggie has written articles for numerous aviation publications and will contribute his talents to PilotMag.

Terri Glassman - VP Sales & Marketing

Terri GlassmanTerri Glassman joins the dynamic team at PilotMag as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. As a Colorado Native, Terri enjoys life in the Mile High City by attending and planning community events. She has been known to take in a few summer concerts, enjoys skiing in the Rocky Mountains, and a sunny round of golf. Terri has competed in national equestrian events and is also a certified scuba diver. Terri has a BA from the University of Northern Colorado in International Trade and Marketing and has worked with the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Avalanche, and most recently Denver Magazine. Strongly focused on innovative and creative marketing strategies, Terri works passionately to gain unparalleled exposure for her clients. Her goal at PilotMag is to develop long-term partnerships within the aviation industry. We are facing an evolving and competitive media marketplace. Aleza CahillAleza grew up in San Diego, the daughter of an aerospace engineer, where she was often intrigued by planes and aviation. She graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Sociology and has over 10 years sales experience, most of that time spent working as a photographer and sales representative for a photography company in Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Denver. She now lives in Denver with her husband and 2 children. She has a passion for wine, food, and travel. At PilotMag, she focuses on advertising with travel companies, luxury resorts, and adventure destinantions.

Scott ”Sully” Sullivan - Account Executive

Scott Sully comes to PilotMag with 12 years of outside sales experience and a strong background in military aviation, mortgage banking, and a genuine love for flying. Upon leaving the Navy after eight years of duty, he relocated back to Colorado where he began establishing himself as a mortgage banking and real estate professional. Taking his passion for aviation and using it as a marketing tool for his mortgage and real estate business, he has opened up the door for many unique business opportunities. Sully’s efforts are focused on the western regions: FBO's, aircraft manufactures, aircraft brokers, regional airports, and aircraft owners. He stays active in his community and continues to serve as an F-16 crew chief for the Colorado Air National Guard. His personnel goal is to help create a company that will revolutionize the aviation industry in the way it receives, markets and advertises it's products and services.

Emily Straw - Account Executive

Emily StrawEmily has been involved in the sales and marketing world for 7+ years. After receiving her degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from UW-Milwaukee she was offered a position with a financial marketing and consulting firm. Her work carried her to many places across the country and she finally made a home in Denver, CO. Emily has been instrumental in the development, marketing and launch of several community banks across the United States. Her experience with investments and investor relations will prove invaluable in our quest to acquire investors and launch our television series. Emily brings with her a strong passion for aviation and the world of travel as a whole. Her focus in advertising is on travel, resorts, tours and overall aviation adventures.

Charlie Raber - Account Executive

Charlie RaberCharlie Raber is a commercial rated pilot who grew up in Texas, Oklahoma, and Denver. He has been passionate about aviation his entire life and loves every aspect of it. Charlie is a college graduate from Metropolitan State College of Denver’s aviation program in aviation technology with a minor in marketing. John Judish – Content Management/Web Design

JJJohn brings over 14 years web development experience to Pilot Mag. He has built untold numbers of web sites and custom web-based applications. John programs in several computer languages and has broken new ground in utilizing flash and other dynamic web technologies to create fun and functional user interfaces. While not a pilot, he has logged his share of hours in commercial aircraft traveling abroad to pursue his other passion, world music.
